Making it a happy Christmas morning for needy kids

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 and its Michael the Archangel Ministry Program, along with Custodes Pacis Lodge 2085 – a group of public servants of Italian descent – last week delivered gifts to Special People In Northeast for distribution to needy families at Christmas.

Santa and Mrs. Claus and state Sen.-elect Joe Picozzi traveled to SPIN, 10541 Drummond Road, on the Ladder 31 fire truck, led by a police escort.

Police officers were joined by a few four-legged furry members of the mounted patrol and K9 units.The kids in SPIN’s early childhood education program were singing Jingle Bells as the visitors arrived and had a chance to pose for pictures with Santa. ••
