Bensalem students participate in BCMEA String Day 

This one-day festival features the top string students in grades 7-9 from all over Bucks County

Members of the Bensalem Township School District Orchestra participated in Bucks County Music Educators’ String Day Festival on Nov. 2. 

String Day is a one-day festival held in the Council Rock School District, this year at Newtown Middle School, featuring the top string students in grades 7-9 from all over Bucks County. The students received concert music when they arrived in the morning, rehearsed throughout the day and performed a concert in the afternoon.

The students were:

  • Bensalem High School: Sabiha Nexhbi (viola) and Lily Sweeney (viola)
  • Robert K. Shafer Middle School: Jamie Duran Suscal (violin), Sureya Dursunova (viola), Molly Harkins-German (violin), Amy Rodriguez (violin), Ruby Scott (violin) and Benjamin Thai (cello)
  • Cecelia Snyder Middle School: Jade Pazmino (violin)
